그림을 직업으로 하지 않는 선비나 사대부들이 여흥으로 자신들의 심중을 표현하여 그린 그림을 '문인화' 라고 하였습니다. 문인화의 일종인 수묵화(水墨畵)는 사람의 인격과 생각과 마음을 표현한 그림이었습니다. 수묵화에 '멋'을 나타나는 농담(濃淡) 효과로 동양의 전통적인 기법을 현대적으로 재해석 하여 작업을 하고 있습니다.
오방정색, 오방간색은 음양의 조화를 이루어 색감을 적절히 사용하면 더욱 조화로운 색감을 나타낼 수 있다는 것을 알게 되었습니다. 그래서 투명 소재인 아크릴과 레진 조각들에 농담 기법을 담고, 색감을 더욱 시각화시킬 수 있도록 하기 위해 중첩이라는 구조로 디자인하게 되었습니다. 제가 만드는 공예품이 비록 작을지라도 사람들의 삶에 녹아들어 조금이라도 긍정적인 기운을 가져다주고 싶습니다.

The traditional Eastern techniques are reinterpreted in a modern way with the effect of a joke that shows "cool" in ink paintings.
The transparent pieces of acrylic and resin contain a joke technique and are designed in a structure called superposition to further visualize the color. Even if the crafts I make are small, I want to melt into people's lives and bring even a little positive energy.
